The Act of Giving Changes Us, Making Us More Like Our Generous Creator.

WHY DO WE GIVE?

God is the ultimate giver who gave the most precious gift imaginable – His Son Jesus – to die on the cross for our sins. Our lives are transformed by the Gospel of Christ. When we learn to give generously, it changes us, making us more like our generous Creator.

WHAT IS A TITHE? WHAT IS AN OFFERING?

The word “tithe” literally means tenth or 10%. Tithing is giving the first ten percent of our income back to God. The Bible says that everything we have comes from Him, so tithing is actually returning to God what belongs to Him. When we tithe, we are putting God first in our lives and trusting Him to provide for all of our needs. An offering is anything we give beyond the 10%.

WHAT DOES OUR GIVING SUPPORT?

It takes financial resources to accomplish the work God has called us to do. Here are just a few things that your tithes and offerings make possible through the ministry of Hope Point Church.

Our weekend services have been a central part of our ministry, where we gather to worship, learn, fellowship, and grow together as a community. Your giving helps keep our doors open to reach countless people for the Kingdom of God. We also have Point Groups, which are smaller groups, that people meet throughout the week to study the Bible and grow in their faith.

We have dedicated programs for kids, youth, and young adults, where they can learn about Jesus in fun and engaging ways. Vacation Bible School (VBS) and youth camp are highlights of our summer programs, where kids and teens can have fun, make new friends, and learn more about Jesus and how to live according to God’s Word.

In addition to our regular weekend services, we have offer additional Easter Services, a New Believers Class, The Journey Experience which guides new people who enter our church through 4 steps we call KNOW, GROW, & GO, Foundations Discipleship 8-Month Training Course, One Meal Tuesdays, The Most Excellent Way Recovery Ministry, weddings, funerals, hospital visitations, Dare to Hope Counseling Ministry where individuals and families can receive support and biblical guidance during difficult times. We also offer premarital Counseling.

Our church hosts various events throughout the year, including our Weekend Sunday Services, special Easter and Christmas Candle Services, and two significant events. The first one is an original theater production presented by the Hope Point Theater Department, which reaches an audience of 500-600 people over four shows annually. Through this program, people from all walks of life experience the gospel through theater and arts in a creative way. The second event is “Night 514,” which takes place four times a year. It’s an all-city worship night where we gather with other churches in our city for a night of worship and prayer. We also have active women’s and men’s ministries, and we support missionaries both locally and abroad.

The impact in changed lives for the Kingdom of God has been made possible by our gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and by your faithful monthly financial support of your tithes and offerings.

We can’t say enough how incredibly grateful we are for your generosity towards this ministry who believes to love God, love people, and serve touches and changes lives. Thank You!
